Sweet Lawdy

Hey All you comic book fans,

Transatlantic flights are horrendous. I could scarcely imagine what a transatlantic boat trip would be like. The entire time on the plane I was thinking about the African slaves that came to America beneath the decks of some wooden boat. TERRIBLE!
Us humans are so pampered this day in age.

The first thing I did when I arrived at the hostel was to take a shower. Indeed an amazingerest shower to be sure. Surprisingly, the hostel is co-ed. File that under "Thing That Would Never Fly in Utah."

Already, I've learned the terrible, horrible secret of this place, the Canadians are everywhere. I have to watch my back for all the Red Mapleleaves may strike at any moment.

Off to find more adventure.

Capt. Lewis, signing off.

nice to know you are safe and sound...if i can figure out how to post pictures, i will post one or two of the fireworks and/or monstertruck pictures joy and i took out at pomona last night. monstertrucks, fireworks, and the repeated posturing of the announcers asking for the crowd to give it up for "the greatest country in the history of this earth"...what a 4th of July. oh...and budweiser girls, beer, and a firetruck with a jet engine in the back.

Glad British Airways got you to the right spot. Maggie and I saw Lyle Lovett and he was great. Good luck with the maple leaves. Have fun in Amsterdam!
